Dealing with a Wet Basement
Any kind of moisture is unacceptable. A wet
basement is unhealthy for the whole house.  
Moisture can ruin carpeting, drywall, and framing
and you need waterproofing. A leaky basement
should not be ignored. Even if you have a crawl

With a wet basement you run the risk of basement
mold.

Most often The wet basement is from rainfall and
melting snow. In some cases, the problem is rising
groundwater, these are tougher to stop.  Water
accumulates around your foundation working its
way inside through cracks, joints, and porous
material. This can be stopped with waterproofing
concrete sealants. It can cost from a few hundred
dollars to many thousands to have a professional
waterproof your leaky basement. The good news is,
you can fix this wet basement yourself for much less.

Wet basement, leaky basement or damp basement,
it dose not matter what you call it, you need
waterproofing. First install a dehumidifier to get a
dry basement then do the waterproofing there are a
lot of different you can use.
